I found this course to be really well paced, well structured informative and insightful as well as providing really practical and useful guidance on how to think about and approach these types of conversations with care and empathy.
With the provision of some really valuable reference resources I feel far more confident to enter into a conversation on harassment with someone that I trust.
For a long time now I have felt inadequately prepared to engage in conversations about harassment and violence against women. I feel more confident having done the Hassl course to stop focusing on my insecurities as a male in this space and to start listening respectfully.
Excellent insight into what women and girls have to go through every single day - things that us men barely register. Having a better understanding of this invisible burden is a powerful first step on our path to helping alleviate it. This course does an excellent job of framing the issue and providing practical ideas to help men (and women) help change the focus and the narrative of women's safety.
This course has content GOLD. Personal life, work life, family life, just life in general - there is something that every man can contribute to. As a man myself, I found real-world value that I can take into my own spheres of influence, be it supporting friends, family, colleagues or strangers as well as supporting and guiding my fellow men to make positive changes. Highly recommended.
Lots to think about here - especially us men - about what the mental load that women and girls carry every day that we might not be aware of or fully understand. Having the right conversation can help us grow, but also become a better ally.
