HASSL Launches the “Shaping Safety” Global Survey

Today, HASSL is launching the Shaping Safety Survey - our first major initiative to gather real data about harassment and public safety from people all over the world.

This survey invites anyone, anywhere, to share their experiences, insights, and ideas for change. We want to understand how harassment shows up in daily life, why so many incidents go unreported, what support people need, and what solutions would make public spaces safer.

This is a crucial step for us. From day one, we’ve committed to building HASSL on real lived experienced, not assumptions. The voices captured through this survey will shape everything we do next - from campaigns and training programs to the tools we develop and the policies we push for.

Launching the survey is a key part of Stage 1 of our five-stage plan: building the foundation for meaningful change. By collecting global data, we’re grounding our mission in the reality of people’s experiences, giving us the insight we need to drive systemic, structural solutions.
