HASSL Launches ‘Start a Uni Society’ Toolkit

Today, HASSL launched our brand-new “Start a HASSL Uni Society” Toolkit - a step-by-step guide for student ambassadors who want to create HASSL societies on their campuses.

This toolkit was developed with the input of ambassadors who work as university staff, ensuring it’s practical, inclusive, and easy to use within the structures of higher education. It includes guidance on starting up, recruiting members, and creating safe spaces for dialogue about harassment and systemic change.

This launch matters because universities are critical spaces for shifting culture. By equipping students with everything they need to start a society, we empower them to lead change where it can have lifelong ripple effects - among young people who are just entering adulthood, workplaces, and civic life.

The toolkit is available in the resources section of the "HASSL for University" space on the Ambassador platform.

This initiative is part of Stage 3 of our five-stage plan: building out the ambassador program, scaling education, and creating opportunities for ambassadors to lead locally while amplifying HASSL’s mission globally.
