HASSL Launches ‘HASSL Men’: Inviting Men Into the Solution
Share
Today marks a major milestone for HASSL: the launch of HASSL Men, a dedicated space designed to engage men as active allies in the fight against harassment.
From the start, HASSL has been clear that harassment isn’t a “women’s issue” - it’s a societal one. And if we are going to dismantle harassment culture, men must be part of the solution. HASSL Men is built to provide the tools, conversations, and community to make that possible.
For too long, efforts to tackle harassment have focused on telling women how to stay safe - what to wear, where to go, what not to do. HASSL exists to shift that responsibility off women and onto society, and that means helping men see the role they can play in prevention and culture change.
This space is designed to meet men where they are, creating a judgment-free environment where they can:
- Learn about the systemic nature of harassment and how everyday behaviour contributes to it.
- Understand the mental load and emotional toll that harassment places on women.
- Explore how to step in safely as bystanders, support survivors, and influence peers.
- Connect with other men who are ready to take action and model change in their communities.
HASSL Men isn’t a lecture - it’s a conversation. The space includes ambassador focus groups, discussion opportunities, and requests for men to contribute ideas, ask questions, and collaborate on solutions. It allows men to take ownership of their role in creating safer environments, whether in schools, workplaces, or public spaces.
How This Fits Our Five-Stage Plan
Launching HASSL Men is a critical part of Stage 3 of our five-stage plan: scaling education and growing cultural momentum. By actively bringing men into the conversation, we expand the reach of our message and start building the cross-gender alliances needed for lasting change.
This is more than just a new feature on our ambassador platform - it’s a signal that the conversation about harassment is evolving. Together, we can build a world where safety is everyone’s responsibility.
