HASSL Speaks to European Youth Portal on the Role of Men in Feminism
Share
Today, HASSL was featured on the European Youth Portal, joining an important conversation about the role of men in feminism and how to build a culture of collective responsibility for safety and equality.
In the conversation, our founder Amy Watson shared why HASSL has always invited men into the conversation - not to centre them, but to recognise their vital role as allies. She spoke about dismantling the outdated narrative that harassment is a “women’s problem” to solve, and about how men can use their influence to challenge harmful behaviour, support survivors, and change culture from within.
Being part of this discussion is significant because the European Youth Portal reaches young people across the continent, including students, activists, and future leaders. This gives HASSL a chance to shape thinking early - encouraging men to engage with feminism as a pathway to building safer communities, workplaces, and public spaces.
This moment supports Stage 1 and 2 of our five-stage plan: laying the foundation for cultural change by engaging new audiences, sparking early conversations, and positioning HASSL as a thought leader on how to reframe harassment as a societal issue.
