HASSL founder accepted onto UN Women UK’s GenEqual Program

We’re proud to share that HASSL founder Amy Watson has been accepted onto the UN Women UK GenEqual Program - a new initiative designed to empower young changemakers aged 18-30 who are leading the fight for gender equality.

Part of the global Generation Equality movement, the GenEqual Program aims to accelerate progress on gender equality and put the Beijing Platform for Action into practice. Through a combination of workshops, skill-building sessions, and campaign-based projects, the program connects emerging leaders across the UK who are turning passion into tangible impact.

Participants develop real-world skills in activism, digital media, and public speaking, while gaining mentorship and support to grow both personally and professionally. The program also offers opportunities to collaborate on national campaigns, contribute to UN Women’s advocacy efforts, and amplify youth voices in spaces where they’re often underrepresented.

Amy’s acceptance into GenEqual highlights both her leadership and HASSL’s growing recognition as a driving force for systemic, scalable change in how society tackles harassment and gender inequality. It also provides a powerful opportunity to bring HASSL’s prevention-first, five-stage approach to new audiences - helping shape future policy, education, and advocacy initiatives.

This marks another important milestone for HASSL’s international influence, as we continue building partnerships that connect grassroots activism with institutional action.
