Share
A few days ago, HASSL’s Country & State Representatives released their very first global campaign video - and it has already made a huge impact, with 300,000 views and 10,000+ shares in just three days.
The video brings together HASSL Reps from around the world - including Niger, India, Canada, the USA, Scotland, Singapore, UAE, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Kosovo, Wales, and Switzerland, each sharing a powerful fact about violence against women in their country. From laws that still allow marital rape to cultural norms that silence victims, the campaign highlights just how universal, and urgent, this issue is.
The response has been extraordinary, sparking a wave of comments from viewers around the world sharing the realities in their own countries and calling for change.
This moment is significant because it shows the power of a truly global movement. The Country Reps program was designed to decentralise HASSL’s work and make it culturally relevant everywhere - and this campaign proves that when local voices come together, they can create something that resonates worldwide.
